Biodegradable Products Institute (BPI) is the leading authority on compostable products and packaging in North America. BPI's certification program and the associated Mark are the most reliable verification of compostability and to determine if it meets ASTM's standards. Please note, BPI does not differentiate between home compost and commercial compost, but other authorities do.
