Are compostable ziplock bags as durable as traditional plastic bags?
Yes, our compostable ziplock bags are designed to match the durability of traditional plastic bags while being environmentally friendly.
What are these Products made of?
Our Zip bags, trash bags and cling wrap are made from biobased materials that are fully compostable, plant starch is the primary ingredient. Our Sponges are made from Cellulose.
How long does it take for these bags to compost?
These bags typically compost within 90-180 days in a commercial composting facility, or in about the same time in your garden compost, depending on temperature and several other conditions. Please note that 13 gallon Trash bags are only certified for commercial composting.
What if I don’t have anywhere to compost? Will they compost in the trash?
Unfortunately these do not compost unless in composting conditions. If you do not have an area or composting facility nearby, we offer return composting services to our subscribing members!
Are the Zip bags and cling wrap Microwave safe?
These bags or wrap should not be used in the microwave.
